Our regular meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month starting in September and ending in May (summers are reserved for fishing/camping) in the basement of 49th State Brewing Company in Anchorage (formerly the Snowgoose) starting at 7:00 PM.
You can also contact one of the officers by phone or send us email for more information.
You can also checkout our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/gnbc1 for upcoming events throughout the year (even during the summer months).
What to Expect at a Club Meeting
We’d love to have you visit a club meeting to see what we’re all about. If you’re a brewer and have beer, cider, or mead to share, bring it! (We tend not to have wine at club meetings, but if you’re a winemaker you and your wine are welcome, too.) Don’t be shy about sharing it, either. We’ve all been beginners at some point, and many of us are very accomplished brewers. You’ll fit in no matter where you are on the spectrum, and if you have beer to share and want constructive feedback on it, just ask. If you don’t have beer to share, that’s fine, too!
If you have a sample glass, be sure to bring it. Otherwise, we’ll have plastic cups available. Don’t be shy to try others’ beers. If they don’t offer you a pour and you’re curious about something, just ask.
There’s no such thing as a dump brewing question. As we’ve said, we’ve all been there. So if you want to know something, just ask someone and you’re sure to get an answer. About pretty much anything.
Food / Setup / Cleanup
Each month we cycle responsibilities for the meeting, based on members’ last names, for providing food at the meeting, arriving early to help set up ahead of time, and staying a little later to help clean up after the meeting. The cycle for 2018 and 2019 is summarized below. Find the month of the meeting and the group in which you last name lies, and you’ll find your member duty.
|Month||Last Name A-J||Last Name K-P||Last Name Q-Z|
